Urban Oasis: Shangri-La Group has launched Yun Wellness, a new urban oasis located on L8 of the newly renovated Island Shangri-La in Hong Kong. The wellness concept is inspired by a 4th-century Chinese poem and seeks to revitalize both the body and mind by offering therapies and holistic wellness experiences infused with Shangri-La’s unique Asian hospitality. Yun Wellness features a carefully curated collection of holistic wellness treatments tailored to individual needs, including body treatments, facials, pre-and postnatal care, physiotherapy, osteopathy, personal training, and nutrition advice.

Look & Feel: Designed by Spanish interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán, Yun Wellness aims to bring nature indoors, recreating the lush greenery that surrounds the hotel. The space features a community area, spa, 28.5m outdoor swimming pool, an innovative gym equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, and an elegant hair salon. The spa offers ten luxurious treatment rooms, including two for couples and two dedicated to health consultations and physiotherapy.

What’s on offer: Guests can maintain their fitness level with Yun Wellness’ daily class schedule, which encompasses movement and mindful practices such as high-energy HIIT, Resistance Training, Pilates Reformer classes, Aerial Yoga, Singing Bowls, and Meditation. The spa offers a variety of massages, body treatments, and facials, as well as programs specifically tailored to the needs of both men and women.

Yun Wellness also offers a particular focus on mothers-to-be and postpartum mothers, creating a space that brings them together in a supportive community during this very important time in their lives. One of the signature treatments includes the Postpartum Belly Binding Package, which uses traditional Asian techniques and herbs to facilitate body rehabilitation, recovery of bodily functions, and alleviating post-partum stress.
