To many Hongkongers, the government’s $10,000 payout has been a perk rather than a necessity, going straight into savings accounts rather than paying for essentials. But if you’re not in need of the funds, why not consider passing it on to those who are?
Payout Giveback is a new charity initiative whose aim is to redistribute government handout funds to local NGOs that have recently been struggling due to Covid-19. The four NGOs the initiative have selected to partner with are HER Fund, Impact HK, Love 21, and The Zubin Foundation.
The campaign will run until August 12 with the possibility of extension. To donate, simply navigate to Payout Giveback’s site and choose the amount you’d like to give.
