Taipei’s farmers markets are our number one favorite thing to do in the city. You’ll get to meet passionate farmers, sample fresh produce and bring home local specialties. Here are five farmers markets you should not miss the next time you’re in Taipei!


Taipei Expo Farmer’s Market 台北花博農民市集

So many local teas at Taipei Expo Farmers Market.

If you only have time to check out one farmers market in Taipei, head to Taipei Expo Farmer’s Market. It’s  a food lovers’ dream, with over 100 stalls selling delightful local goods, from seasonal fruits and Taiwanese teas to local coffee and cacao nibs. Most stalls also sell ready-to-eat fruit slices and drinks, perfect for tourists looking to sample the local produce. 

MRT: Yuanshan Station Exit 1
Open hours: Saturdays and Sundays, 10am-6pm

Taipei Hope Plaza Farmers Market 希望廣場農民市集

Taipei Hope Plaza Farmers Market is more of a local farmers market, compared to Taipei Expo’s, with even more fresh produce on offer. The produce are of excellent quality — some vendors have even won awards for their fruits and vegetables. You can find high-quality honey and Taiwanese tea leaves here. There’s also a cooked food area selling some of Taipei’s classic street foods. 

MRT: Shandao Temple Exit 1
Open hours: Saturdays, 10am-7pm; Sundays, 10am-6pm

Yongkang Farmers Market 永康小農市集

Yongkang Street is itself a must-go neighborhood. It’s got a chill vibe, many boutique shops, and excellent beef noodles. Check out Yongkang Farmers Market in the area, which takes place at Yongkang Park. Farmers come from outside Taipei City to showcase their local specialties, including Hakka snacks, soy sauce, milk, rice and jams. 

MRT: Dongmen Station Exit 5
Open hours: Every first Saturday and Sunday of the month, 10am-6pm

Footprints in the Field Farmers Market 田裡有腳印市集

Footprints in the Field Farmers Market is about much more than delicious food — it’s also about protecting the environment and animals. The market highlights eco-certified farmers committed to preserving diversity on their farms. Every week sees a surprising mix of vendors and products, from edamame, natural hand lotion and organic soy milk to coffee beans and red dates. Prepare to be surprised!

Bow to Land Market 彎腰農夫市集

Bow to Land Market believes in humility towards mother nature and hopes to encourage visitors to adopt green practices. The vendors are all dedicated farmers passionate about their organic fruits and vegetables, free-range eggs and more. Most stalls also serve ready-to-eat foods such as Chinese tea eggs, shaved ice, fresh juices and vegan sandwiches.
