Just in time for the new year, the Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen has introduced a slew of new wellness offerings. Designed to help busy guests slow down, relax, and be more mindful, these initiatives combine activity and mindfulness.

At the heart of the new offerings is a Suite Retreat, which is available through December 31, 2019. With this package, guests can book a one-night stay and get a second for free. Upon checking into an Executive Suite, guests will find a Lululemon “fit kit” which includes a mat, a stretching band, a posture brick, and a two-in-one foam roller. These can be used on their own or with the exclusive training videos by Harley Pasternack, trainer to Gwenyth Paltrow. Suite Retreat guests will also get CNY200 credit to use at the spa and luxe amenities by Natura Bissé.

If you venture out of your suite, you’ll find an array of wellness activities to fill your time. Meditative classes are key here, so you could try a sunrise or sunset yoga or Tai Chi class. The hotel even has an indoor studio sanctuary and multilevel outdoor terraces that are perfect for a little meditation.

The hotel has also recruited resident artist Mo Baipeng to offer guests traditional or modern watercolor Chinese painting and calligraphy classes. The art of Chinese calligraphy is inherently meditative, requiring deep focus and careful brushstrokes, and it’s easy to relax within minutes of starting a session. If you’re so included, Mo can even offer personality insights based on your brushwork!

If you’re feeling adventurous, paddleboard yoga in the pool is another new option. Striking poses on a board adds a whole new level of engagement and balance to already trick yoga moves, but it’s sure to provide a lot of satisfaction if you can conquer them. Vinyasa-style hot yoga is also available as private or group classes.

Of course, any wellness retreat at the Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen requires a visit to the Yue Spa. Check in for a signature Eaglewood body massage and feel your cares slip away.

Round out your stay with healthy meal options from the hotel’s award-winning restaurants. Think beetroot and tomato soup, seared bluefin tuna loin, and superfood salads made with butternut squash, broccolini, pumpkin seeds, alfalfa, and natural yoghurt.
