One-Michelin-starred Yat Tung Heen has a flawless reputation, and it’s not hard to understand why. With so many average dim sum places in Hong Kong, it’s a delight to visit a place that takes this craft seriously.

Find all the classics like siu mai (with the addition of fresh scallop); har gow with bamboo shoot; and fluffy, piping hot char siu bao and juicy meat within.

With a sumptuous backdrop inspired by the taverns of Shanghai in the 1920s, the Cantonese restaurant originally opened back in 1990 and underwent a revamp two years ago — and remains a must for any foodie committed to great dim sum.
