The Loop HK 30 Best Eats 2020 Best Design: SEVVA

“Queen of Cakes” Bonnae Gokson’s much-lauded restaurant SEVVA closed for renovations after 12 years in operation — and in late 2019 unveiled a glamorous new look.

There’s a gorgeous flower dome complete with countless silk flowers, three dozens of custom-made chandeliers with 76,000 handmade crystals, and a sleek new bar space, which has been extended.

Of course, the terrace remains, affording the restaurant’s famously unique view of the HSBC Building, the Mandarin Oriental and the harborfront.
