2. Best New Bar: The ThirtySix

Taking up a second-floor space on Hollywood Road, The ThirtySix opened this year to great acclaim.

The cocktail bar specializes in the highball, a classic drink that essentially combines a spirit and a mixer, served in a tall glass. There’s a sizeable selection of rare whiskies, and other classic cocktails.

Since its opening, The ThirtySix has introduced a two-for-one happy hour menu that also includes izakaya-inspired bites.
