The West Kowloon Cultural District is welcoming the long-awaited Palace Museum on July 2. The new joiner will be exhibiting over 900 portraits of the Qing dynasty, calligraphy, ceramics collections, most of which are on loan from the Palace Museum in Beijing to meet Hong Kong viewers for the first time. Opinion is divided upon the HK$50 admission fee to the new Palace Museum when most public museums open welcome guests for free. However, it will be free to enter on Wednesdays for the first year.
