The Peak Tram is arguably as popular an attraction as its destination, with its ticket office often seeing winding queues of tourists. Established at the end of the 19th century, the funicular railway runs only six stops from Admiralty to, of course, The Peak. Originally established as a more convenient way to access The Peak – those sedan chairs could be a little unweidly – the tram has since become both a historical emblem and a way to enjoy a stunning view of the city and harbor. Passengers can find out more about the Peak Tram’s history at the Peak Tram Historical Gallery at its lower terminus.
