Tamarind Pan Asian Restaurant

A Pan-Asian restaurant in the heart of Wanchai, Tamarind has something for everyone. On offer are a range of Thai, Indian and Vietnamese dishes, and views of the Hong Kong skyline from a cozy outdoor terrace. Tamarind also serves as a fun event venue for cocktail functions and corporate events. To celebrate summer, Tamarind is offering its Summer Dinner Special menu every day from 6pm-10pm ($288+/person). Begin with free-flow appetisers like shrimp skewers and chicken tikka, then move onto a choice of mains that includes Thai green chicken curry and chicken makhni served with naan or saffron rice. The menu also includes a dessert – mango sticky rice or rasmalai, for example – and a soda or beer. Don’t forget to BYOB – there’s no corkage!

2/F, Sun Hung Kai Centre, 30 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, 2827 7777.

Namo Avant Thai

Boasting impressive views of Victoria Harbour from Tsim Sha Tsui East, Namo serves Thai cuisine that marries traditional flavors with contemporary recipes. Namo pairs its dishes with an extensive wine list and Thai-inspired cocktails that also make great sundowners. Available between 6pm to 10pm daily (excluding Fridays), Namo’s Summer Thai Dining Feast gives diners a chance to try the restaurant’s best recipes. The free-flow appetizer platter features snacks like garlic prawns and pomelo salad, while a choice of mains include curries like poulet de massaman (a northern Thai chicken curry), or prawns in fragrant red curry served with steamed rice or roti. For dessert, choose from mango sticky rice or Thai tea panna cotta.

Shop G18, Empire Center, 68 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, 2739 1133.

Gaylord Indian Restaurant

One of Hong Kong’s oldest Indian restaurants, Gaylord has been dishing up authentic Indian fare in Tsim Sha Tsui for decades. This iconic restaurant — which comes recommended by the Michelin Guide — is celebrating its 46th anniversary this year. And you’re invited to join the celebrations with Gaylord’s Summer Dining Feast ($288+/person). Available daily from 6pm to 10pm, the feast comes with one Kingfisher beer; we recommend starting with a shared Indian barbecue appetizer dish that includes lamb kebab and chicken tikka. For mains, choose from a lineup of flavorful dishes like Goan Fish Curry, Lamb Rogan Josh and Chicken Biriyani. And finally, finish your meal on a sweet note with kulfi or rasmalai for dessert.

1/F Ashley Center, 23-25 Ashley Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, 2376 1001.
