What’s it called? White Noise Records
What’s it about? Named after the ’60s psychedelic English band White Noise, the namesake records store, label and distributor produces quality alternative music and sound art programs while holding music events and festivals in the city. Indie music fan might have already heard of the records store through the SAND festival and NOTCH08 festival. White Noise Records is also known for introducing international artists to the local music scene, such as Ólafur Arnalds (Iceland), Otomo YOSHIHIDE (Japan), yndi halda (UK) and more. As local music continues to gain popularity, the store is also one of the few places where you find albums produced by musicians from the local underground music scene.
