What is it? The 14th edition of the Asia Contemporary Art Show (Spring 2019 edition) will take place on 29 March to 1 April 2019 at the Conrad Hong Kong. The Show will feature more than 2,000 artworks in 80 specially curated living spaces and will welcome artists from over 20 countries from around the world, notably from Malaysia, UK, South Korea, Lebanon, Russia, China, Japan, and Hong Kong, as well as up-and-coming and mid-career artists.
The Asia Contemporary Art Show is a unique art fair. Artworks are presented in a more intimate setting where one can get an idea of where their potential art purchases will be hung at home, or appear under normal lighting.
On 29 March (Friday), art patrons and select guests will have access to the exclusive UnionPay Private Viewing, followed by an invitation-only UnionPay VIP Collectors Preview. General admission is scheduled for 30 March – 1 April 2019.
For this spring edition, the Show will feature Intersections: China, the fourth in the popular series where selected galleries, artists, and artist collectives use various concepts, techniques, materials or subject matter from the past and re-envision them to reflect today’s sensibilities or combine Western artistic genres with Chinese aesthetic forms.
In addition, the Show will feature Artist Dialogues, a platform to create engagement with art and those who create it. In this intimate environment, one can connect with an artist or joint presentations where they can ask questions regarding their inspiration and artistic practice as well as gaining a deeper understanding of the methods and techniques behind their creations.
