What is it? Bungee Workout™ Hong Kong is a high-intensity interval training exercise (HIIT). This means that in only a short period of time, you can easily burn calories and fat to the tune of upbeat music.

Grand Jeté Studio is the only place in the city where you can truly immerse yourself to this type of workout. Bungee Workout™ was first introduced in Bangkok, Thailand, and was later brought to Hong Kong by Gloria Sit, director and instructor at the studio.

Bungee Workout™ is a new and fun way to approach exercise. Sit says that as a group, everyone strives to achieve the same goal when they are working out together. She encourages everyone in her class to shout and scream to release the stress that they might be experiencing.

Participants put a harness around their hips and are suspended off the ground to be able to bounce. While it might look simple enough, as the class progresses, the workout infuses more dance and acrobatic movements, resulting in having to work every muscle in your body.

Since participants are suspended from the ceiling, the resistance gives you the feeling of flying.

Each certified bungee instructor specializes in a type of dance, including ballet, jazz, pop dance, contemporary dance, and mixed dances.

Bungee Workout™ class is an hour-long session and is limited to a maximum of seven participants. According to Sit, everyone can do it, no matter their age or body type.

There’s also Bungee Fit, which is a more intensive workout. Participants are expected to do more movements and more ‘flying’ in the air. It’s a non-stop cardio exercise with bungee resistance that makes you burn up to 1200-1700 calories in one session.

There are also classes for kids.

Where is it? Unit 903, 33 Tseuk Lu Street, San Po Kong, Kowloon, 9279-1231
