What’s it called? Twenty One From Eight
What’s it all about? A cafe slash furniture store and studio, Twenty One From Eight is founded by local carpenter Thomas who is passionate about promoting 100% locally made wooden furniture. Enjoy some coffee and pastries at the pantry, which is run by a Le Cordon Bleu chef. The menu features pastries like canele and financiers as well as mains such as baked sea bass. Next to the eating area is a furniture store full of locally designed and crafted home pieces, from dining table and shelves, to stools and benches.
The founder believes the best furniture comes from the customer and carpenter working together, and the store welcomes communication and custom design pieces. Separated by a large glass panel is the furniture studio, where customers can see the craftsmen working on furniture. The founder hopes to promote appreciation for local carpentry through the welcoming and transparent space.
