What’s it called? Golden Scene Cinema
What’s it all about? The first movie theater to open in Sai Wan, Golden Scene Cinema is owned by movie company Golden Scene, known for distributing indie films from abroad and producing high-quality local films. The cinema has a catchy retro vibe and is located on the corner of Catchick Street and North Street. With four screens and 283 seats in total, the cinema will focus on showcasing indie and art films from Hong Kong and all around the world. On top of big commercial movies such as Soul, you will find local indies The Way We Keep Dancing, Memories to Choke on, Drinks to Wash Them Down and Keep Rolling, a documentary about celebrated director Ann Hui — all showing at the cinema right now.
