How do you boost vaccination rate? In Hong Kong — named the most expensive housing market in the world — local tycoons have come up with the ultimate incentive: a brand-new apartment in a Kwun Tong residential development.

Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Sino Group, and Chinese Estates Holdings announced a lucky draw last week for fully vaccinated Hong Kongers, the grand prize being a HK$10.8 million apartment in residential development Grand Central. There will also be 20 prizes of pre-paid card or credit card with a value of HK$100,000.

Grand Central in Kwun Tong

The apartment is a one-bedroom apartment with a floor area of approximately 449 square feet. Ming Pao reports that that flat is located on the 47th floor, with views of Kwun Tong and east Kowloon.

All residents with a Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card is eligible to enter the lucky draw for the grand prize, while the 20 prizes of pre-paid card or credit card with a value of $100,000 are open to all Hong Kong Identity Card holders, including those on an employment visa such as domestic workers.

Participants must be aged 18 or above and have received two doses of Covid-19 vaccine. The deadline for applications is September 1, 2021 — which means those interested in entering should get the first jab by early August. Registration opens on June 15 on the website: vaccinationluckydraw.hk/
