What do you do?

I’m the founder of several pioneering semi-permanent make-up and wellness brands, including Princess Brows, High Society Skin Clinic, Gel Lashes, House of PMU, and Glowagen. However, first and foremost, I’m a semi-permanent makeup specialist. I’ve always been inspired by the beauty industry and have championed semi-permanent make-up in Hong Kong. As an entrepreneur in the beauty industry, my ultimate goal is to make individuals feel confident in their skin.

How does your business work?

High Society Skin Clinic is an acclaimed skin management clinic in Hong Kong; it’s also part of Princess Brows, which specializes in eyebrow and eyelash grooming, and semi-permanent makeup treatments. We’re focused on helping our clients regain their confidence by feeling comfortable in their own skin. Clients come to us for our proprietary tools, pigments, and techniques, including my own version of Microblading, Under-Eye Concealer, Stretch Mark Camouflage, Vitiligo Camouflage, and post-Mastectomy Areola reconstruction. Our unique G.E.L Lashes treatment, which lifts and lengthens lashes, is also popular. We also offer a range of non-invasive, technologically-driven bodt treatments like EmSculpt and HIFU.

How did your business get started?

My career was not always in the beauty industry – I was a musician. I made a pivotal career change after having my first baby over 12 years ago. I decided to create something for myself in an industry I’d always had an interest in. Initially, semi-permanent make-up was a hobby, but I realized there was a lack of specialists in Hong Kong and decided to launch Princess Brows. This then grew into High Society Skin Clinic, as I wanted to offer an enriched beauty salon experience.

Who are your customers?

We cater to everyone, but more specifically, to individuals looking for self-care and a confidence boost. We want everyone who comes in for treatments or uses our products to feel more confident in their own skin.

What’s a day in your working life like?

Day to day, I wear many hats, from managing the operations at both of our locations to collaborations we are working on, taking client appointments for semi-permanent makeup, and trialing new products and treatments before introducing them to our clients.

Where do you see your business in the future?

We hope to continue to be an environment where our clients come to feel empowered and beautiful. At the moment, I am focused on integrating wellness and spa experiences, and exploring treatments that support mental health and relaxation. In 2020, I launched Glowagen, our Australian-made supplement brand, which has been extremely well-received. Currently, I’m in the process of developing other supplements that cater to both men and women. Lastly, I am working on a skincare brand that suits the needs of our discerning clientele – stay tuned!
