Hong Kong just got even more connected! From 1 July, High-Speed Rail will launch a new route to Chengdudong, with three new stations added to the network. This means that passengers can now travel directly to 69 Mainland destinations from Hong Kong, making it easier than ever to plan both short and long-haul journeys.

But that’s not all – the frequency of the Guangzhoudong route has been enhanced to 10 northbound trains and 9 southbound trains, making it more convenient to travel to Guangzhou. And, the train services between Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and Shenzhenbei and Futian Station have also been enhanced, with daily train frequencies increasing to/from Shenzhenbei Station and Futian Station.

One of the most exciting developments is the new Chengdudong route, which introduces three new stations: Yibinxi, Leshan, and Chengdudong stations. Chengdudong Station is connected to Chengdu Metro Line 2 and Line 7, making it easy to travel between urban and suburban areas for both leisure travel and business trips.

New High-Speed Rail Services Offer Fast, Comfortable, and Convenient Travel Options

With trains that travel up to 350 kilometers per hour (220 mph), the new high-speed rail services to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Futian make it easy to explore some of Mainland China’s most fascinating destinations. And with the new route to Chengdudong, the possibilities for adventure and exploration are endless.

The new high-speed rail services are a game-changer for travelers, offering a fast and efficient way to explore Mainland China from Hong Kong. Before the high-speed age, it took roughly two hours to reach Guangzhou East Station from Hong Kong – now, it takes just 48 minutes from the West Kowloon Station. The station itself is an impressive feat of engineering and design, with a check-in counter and departure lounge that make it feel more like an airport than a train station.

But the new high-speed rail services aren’t just about speed – they also offer a more comfortable and convenient way to travel. With spacious seats, onboard amenities, and the ability to bring your own food and drink, high-speed rail is a great way to make the journey part of the adventure. And with the added convenience of the new Chengdudong route and enhanced train services to other destinations, there’s never been a better time to explore Mainland China from Hong Kong.
