Ho Man Tin station and Whampoa station, extensions of the green Kwun Tong line on Kowloon side, are the latest in MTR’s ambitious expansion projects. They were completed at the end of October and have been servicing tens of thousands of riders since day one.

Next up: the much-anticipated South Island line, which sees four stations: South Horizons, Lei Tung, Ocean Park and Wong Chuk Hang, connecting to Admiralty station on the blue Island line. The stations span the districts of Ap Lei Chau and Aberdeen, making the southside much more accessible to commuters on public transport. The latest ETA? We should be hearing some good news before the end of this year!
