And it’s that time of year again! Here are the winners of stars for the Hong Kong & Macau Michelin Guide 2019: 

Fun Facts About the 2019 Hong Kong and Macau Michelin Guide

A total of 82 restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau were awarded stars this year: 10 were given three-star status, 17 got two stars, and 55 received one star each. 

The Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is now home to the most Michelin-starred restaurants, with Caprice (three stars), Lung King Heen (three stars), and Sushi Saito (two stars) all ranked. 

New entries into the 2019 include Le Comptoir’s Écriture (two stars), the Four Seasons Hong Kong’s Sushi Saito (two stars), and Arbor, Guo Fu Lou, Xin Rong Ji, and chef Umberto Bombana’s newest venture, Octavium, all of which were one-starred. 

Black Sheep Restaurants had two entries in this year’s guide. French brasserie Belon and Punjabi fine-dine New Punjab Club both received one star ratings. French dining group Le Comptoir also had two entries, with Écriture gaining two stars within six months of opening, and The Ocean receiving one star.

There were six new additions to the two- and three-starred categories, including new restaurants and restaurants that made the jump from previous years. Climbers included Caprice, Jade Dragon, and Yin Jee Club, while new listings included Scripture and Alain Ducasse at Morpheus.
