In the ongoing fight against Covid-19, New World Development recently began rolling out free “Mask To Go” dispensers at 37 NGOs across 18 districts in the city. Launched at the end of May, the initiative aims to help 40,000 people from low income or other disadvantaged backgrounds.
Here’s how it works: after pre-registering, each beneficiary receives a smart redemption card with a QR code. The card then allows for the collection of a pack of five masks from the dispensers once a week for ten consecutive weeks. A second phase supporting 20,000 individuals can be expected in mid-June. How’s that for giving back to the community?
