After an indulgent CNY holiday, local health charity Mind HK is here to encourage you to get moving — not just to stay fit, but also to take care of your mental well-being! The charity has launched the Move it for Mental Health campaign: register on the website, complete the #50kmnaturechallenge during the month of February, and you’ll receive one or more prizes!

Those who meet the goal will win one or more rewards from the following: Lululemon reversible yoga mat, Lululemon online classes, Lane Eight trainers, voucher from Alive Food, masks from masklab, five-class pack form Flye Fitness and more. Check out a full list of rewards here.

Supported by Lululemon’s “Here to Be” social impact program, the campaign’s goal is to raise awareness on how closely linked mental and physical healthy are, especially as 55% of Hongkongers felt their mental health had been negatively impacted during the pandemic, according to Mind HK’s research conducted in September 2020.

Working out improves your mental well-being, but doing so in nature takes it one step further by stimulating the release of endorphins to improve mood and relieve stress and anxiety. The Move it for Mental Health challenges participants to hike, run, walk, bike 50KM in Hong Kong’s green space.

After enrolling in the challenge, all you need to do is log the distance you’ve exercised in February using Mind HK’s print calendar template, or distance tracker apps of your own choice. Registration closes on February 19, 2021. Sign up now by clicking here to participate in the challenge!
