Got a nagging sweet tooth? Satisfy your sugar addiction at these island hangouts serving up some of the best desserts this side of the harbor. You have to check out these Hong Kong island dessert shops:

Munchies

If handcrafted ice cream, cookies and donuts are three of your favorite words, head straight to Munchies, off Hollywood Road, to get your sugar pangs sorted. The cookies are soft, chewy and all sorts of amazing, while the homemade ice cream comes in all kinds of rich, surprising flavors. But the all-natural donuts are the stars of the show, featuring a revolving stable of innovative combos – think Smores and Earl Grey –  that are baked fresh every day.
G/F, 4 Shin Hing Street, Sheung Wan.

Oddies

Head here for egg puffs — or eggettes, as Oddies labels these scrumptious waffle pastries — injected with chocolate chips, pumped full of rice pudding filling, infused with matcha… the list goes on. Have ’em paired with soft-serve, fruits and other bits and bobs for an insanely high-calorie experience.
Shop 1F, G/F, 149 Wan Chai Road, Wan Chai, 9551-7972.

Summer Ice

This K-Town joint serves piping hot Belgian waffles layered high with ice cream, adzuki bean paste and fresh fruits. The waffles themselves come in an array of flavors, running the gamut from chocolate to matcha — all equally tasty.
Shop D, 6-18 Hau Wo Street, Kennedy Town, 5541-0655.

Soft Creme

Soft-serve at Soft Creme comes in Hokkaido milk and cereal milk bases, and both taste addictively creamy and silky smooth. Get yours with Australian honeycomb folded in, caramelized cornflakes sprinkled on top — or buried in flamed bacon, should you please.
G/F, 6-7 Shepherd Street, Tai Hang, 2370-3205.

Lab Made

There are a few copycats out there but none comes close to Lab Made, Hong Kong’s original liquid-nitrogen ice cream specialist. Take your pick of the day’s weekly specials and watch the staff get straight to work at their fancy mixers. Lab Made are especially creative with their flavors: bo lo bao, apple crumble, coconut rice and other funky flavors have all been on the menu at one point.
Various branches, including G/F, 6 Brown Street, Tai Hang, 2670-0071.

I Cremeria

Matcha soft-serve doesn’t get more intense and delicious than the offerings at I-Cremeria. Get yours in a waffle cone, topped with fresh fruits — or sitting in a juicy Japanese honeydew melon. The portions are quite generous, so be bring an appetite.
Various branches, including Shop F-9, 1/F, 11-19 Great George Street, Fashion Walk, Causeway Bay, 2897-1118.

I See I See

For popsicles made with chunks of fresh fruits and intense flavors, make your way to I See I See where the icy goodies are on display in neat, photogenic rows. For lighter-tasting treats, go for the fruity creations like kiwi or mango. And for a fuller-bodied experience, check out the Hokkaido milk and yogurt-based pops.
Various branches, including G/F, Haven Court, 138 Leighton Road, Causeway Bay, 2337-3361.
