Chef Alfred Leung

Look & Feel:  Vie Won Won’s décor is a feast for the eyes, with vintage accents and rustic elements that create a homely and comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant is spread across two floors, with ample seating options and a lush outdoor terrace area that is perfect for pet owners. The lighting is soft, and the muted tones of the interiors provide a photogenic backdrop for any occasion. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner or a lively gathering with friends, Vie Won Won has got you covered.

On the Menu: The menu at Vie Won Won is a fusion of international flavors, with a focus on local ingredients and authentic Hong Kong classics. Chef Alfred Leung, who trained under Michelin-starred Gaddi’s former chef Ken Lau, presents a brand new menu that showcases seasonal dishes that draw inspiration from both local and global comfort foods. The Matcha Lamb Chops (HK$298) is a must-try, combining two unexpected ingredients in a balanced fusion dish that cuts through the meat’s gaminess. The Steak & Everything (HK$198) is another favorite, with perfectly-cooked steak, portobello mushroom, English sausage, scrambled Japanese eggs with chili, cherry tomatoes, and hashbrowns. For seafood lovers, the Numb & Spicy Clams (HK$118) is a special take on the classic wok-fried dish, packed with bold and spicy flavors. Don’t forget to end your meal with the Magic Mushroom (HK$98) dessert, which is as delightful to look at as it is to eat.

Vie Won Won also offers a Dinner Set Menu for groups of two (HK$768) and four (HK$1,428), each of which features a diverse array of delicious plates. The set menu includes a starter of Tarte Tatin Pommes Foie Gras and Soup of the Day made fresh. For the main course, choose between Hanger Steak with Roasted Beef Bone Marrow or the lighter Black Codfish with Roe & Creamy Garlic Butter Bubble. Next is a selection of carbohydrates to indulge in, such as Lobster Tsukemen and Crab Meat Risotto, before ending the feast with a playful and ornately-plated dessert.

Great For: Vie Won Won is perfect for foodies who are looking for an immersive dining experience that celebrates local cultures. The restaurant’s dedication to raising awareness for handicapped communities is demonstrated through its roster of meaningful experiences that aim to foster a sense of community and promote inclusivity. The restaurant is also pet-friendly, making it a great option for pet owners who want to dine with their furry friends. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner or a fun night out with friends, Vie Won Won offers an inclusive environment that caters to all.

FYIs: Vie Won Won’s dedication to inclusivity is evident through their ongoing “Darkness Dining Dinners”, which offer a blindfolded meal with enhanced senses to raise awareness for visual impairment. The restaurant also hosts a Drag Queen Show, which celebrates the talents of local performers and members of Hong Kong’s LGBTQ+ community. Keep an eye out for Vie Won Won’s expanding list of meticulously curated events, which aim to inspire creativity and a shared love for good food. Reservations are recommended, especially for larger groups or private events.
