Calling All Vegetarians: Veggie SF has been serving meat-free dishes in a tight and colorful space on Stanley Street for a few years now, and we’re still hooked.
Look & Feel: With vintage American knickknacks like licence plates and old luggage scattered throughout shelves and along the walls, Veggie SF (the “SF” stands for San Francisco) feels like an eccentric hoarder’s house — but one with gorgeous views.
On the Menu: The menu is a tour around the world, with lots of rice, pasta and tofu dishes.
Service: Quick and reliable.
Jeng: You’re not going to miss meat at Veggie SF, where each dish is colorful, topped with fresh herbs or veggies, and full of flavor. We recommend the Trip to Bali: a gado gado combo with deep-fried tofu, wheat gluten skewers, and fragrant coconut milk-topped rice.
Not So Jeng: If you’re trying to go lean on starches, the options get a bit sparse.
Great For: Healthy lunch, or a lean and mean treat post-workout.
FYI: The “SF” stands for San Francisco.
