Sexy Dive Bar: For a memorable night out and powerful cocktails, climb up to The Pontiac where every night is crazier than the last.

The Pontiac
Drink up.

Look & Feel: It’s hard to deny that the dark, industrial chic decor and the team of ladies working behind the bar conjures up visions of Coyote Ugly, but it comes free of any of those weird sexist vibes. Expect to find jukeboxes, rock posters and craft cocktails at The Pontiac, brought to us by the brains behind Rummin’ Tings and the recently closed Fatty Crab.

On the Menu: Craft liquors take center stage, with nine signature cocktails on offer. Since our visit The Pontiac has changed up its drinks menu — we have our eyes on the Kissy Kissy, made with gin, yellow Chartreuse liqueur, Muscadet, bitters, grapefruit oil and lemon. Feeling like reliving your college days? There are jello shots that should help you with that.

Meet the Bartender: The bar is helmed by award-winning bartender Beckaly Franks, who was the lead bartender at famed Portland bar Clyde Common.

Service: You won’t find sloppy service here. Staffers are chatty and nothing short of attentive.

Jeng: We love the anything goes attitude of this place and the edgy women involved — it doesn’t have that pretentiousness you might find in some SoHo bars.

Not So Jeng: If you’re after a quiet evening sipping a few drinks, this is not the place for you.

Great For: Bachelor or bachelorette parties; showing out-of-towners a good time.

FYI: The space where The Pontiac stands used to be the bar area of Fatty Crab (RIP).
