Green Thumb: Opened by co-working space WeWork is The Green Room, a modern, meatless bistro with a Mediterranean bent. Sustainability is key, here, from ingredients to takeaway box materials.

Look & Feel: Perched on the 26th floor of the same building that houses WeWork, the restaurant is simple and airy, filled with woods, whites, and greenery. Full length windows showcase a view of Victoria Harbour. A terrace leads to the restaurant’s rooftop garden.

On the Menu: Seafood and plant-based fare such as Impossible meat feature in pastas, pizzas, salads, and unpretentious mains. Toast, egg dishes, pancakes, waffles and fruit and grain bowls are served for breakfast.

Ingredients are carefully sourced from farms with sustainable, ethical practices; some of the seasonal produce is even grown in the restaurant’s garden. Bread, pizza, and pasta, meanwhile, is prepared fresh in house every day.

Meet the Chef: Executive chef Ferran Tadeo has worked under the likes of Ferran Adrià and José Andrés; you might recognize him from modern Spanish restaurant La Rambla at IFC. Award-winning mixologist John Nugent of recently opened The Diplomat heads up the cocktail menu.

Great For: Guilt-free grub, in more ways than one.
