Sushi in Whampoa: Originally from Yuen Long, omakase restaurant Sushi Man has opened a second branch in Hung Hom, right in Whampoa Garden.

Look & Feel: It’s a pretty standard-looking set up with intimate bar seats around an L-shaped show kitchen.

Meet the Chef: Cupid Leung is the man at Sushi Man. He trained for 11 years with Japanese masters before turning pro.

On the Menu: Omakase, natch. Dinner starts from $1,000 and comes with a selection of sushi, sashimi, and hand rolls of the sort the chef has in mind that night. (Sorry for stating the obvious.) Lunch is a bit simpler, at around $300 a pop.

Great For: Intimate date.

FYI: The restaurant is across from the Whampoa boat landmark in Hung Hom.
