Guilt-free fast food?: Supafood is the latest brave face at the corner of Jervois Street and Bonham Strand. Part of the group that gave us farm-to-table projects Locofama and Sohofama, Supafood is part of a growing movement that has no problems reconciling “healthy” with “fast food.”

Look & Feel: The modestly sized shop is covered in a giant painted mural. There’s a Superman-like figure that is almost camouflaged amongst the red bricks and a giant tree. A few tiny tables are available for lingering guests, but Supafood is all about the takeout.

On the Menu: Organic, pasture-raised, grass-fed and fresh are common buzzwords used on the menu. Sandwiches (like the organic curry grass-fed beef, $48), rice boxes, and salads (like the organic roasted miso eggplant, from $88) are all on offer.

Great For: Lunch al desko, post-workout meal, a guilt-free dinner that is not vegetarian.

FYI: Supafood has taken over where Canadian hot dog restaurant Yonge Piggies used to be.

This writeup is a news piece and was not based on a restaurant visit. The Loop will update this post once we’ve visited in person.
