Chic Chinese: Taking its name from the Chinese character that means a place of tranquility and hospitality, SHÈ is an elegant gourmet retreat that sits within Lane Crawford at IFC.

Look & Feel: A decidedly modern take on a Chinese restaurant, SHÈ hints at its origins with a color palette of reds, greens, and and polished woods. There are captivating frescos on the wall, and floor-to-ceiling windows open onto a terrace that boasts harbor views.

SHÈ

On the Menu: The menu at SHÈ takes traditional Chinese cuisine, gives it a modern, healthy twist, then dishes it up with an eye for aesthetics. Expect prettily-plated sharing dishes showcasing fresh, local ingredients. There are classic signatures like crispy tofu with sale and pepper ($78), caviar shrimp toast ($88), and lobster ma pu tofu ($388). Noodles get a sophisticated upgrade in the form of wok-fried supreme lobster noodles (($388) and fish maw braised noodles in abalone reduction ($298). Don’t miss the dim sum menu that features luxe classics like rose gold har gao ($52) and pork sui mai with caviar ($52). Top it off with decadent cocktails inspired by the golden age of 1930s Shanghai.

Great For: Hearty family meals, or friendly foodie catch-ups.

FYI: SHÈ has fully committed to being eco-friendly with a sustainability pledge – their straws are all paper, and takeaway bags at 100% biodegradable.
