Parisian Cuisine: Plat Du Jour serves classic French dishes with a modern twist. Order a glass of wine with your meal and you’re all set.

Look & Feel: Dining at Plat Du Jour will make you feel like you’re eating in Paris with its stay-as-long-as-you-like atmosphere, red leather booths and marble countertops. With these casual vibes, we can forgive the restaurant for being inside of a mall.

Plat Du Jour
Passport to Paris

On the Menu: Plat Du Jour offers two-course ($235) and three-course meals ($275) that include signature dishes like the steak tartare for starters, moules marinieres for the main course, and apple tarte tatin for dessert.

Service: Overall, the staff is friendly and accommodating.

Jeng: In the three-course menu, we enjoy the homemade tea-smoked salmon, which is a fresh and flavorsome way to kick-start the meal. For mains, try the French corn-fed chicken paillard with creamy leek and a poached egg — it’s cooked to perfection. Plat Du Jour’s desserts are definitely a highlight: we devour the apple tarte tatin and could gush about its oozy, caramelized apple bits for hours.

Not So Jeng: Normally we love a sour finish but we’re disappointed by the noncommittal lemon tart, which lacks any real punch.

Great For: Lazy Sunday lunches, casual dinners, Francophiles, fake vacations.

FYI: There’s another Plat Du Jour in Quarry Bay for Eastsiders.
