Countless Corks: Boasting Burgundies by the thousand from two of central France’s most prominent vineyards, PIIN Wine Restaurant brings more than just a large selection of wine–it’s a library.

Look & Feel: Set on the edge of Soho and Lan Kwai Fong in Tai Kwun heritage development’s lifestyle complex H Code, this new dinner and late-night restaurant sets a standard from its location alone. Complementing that are a modern yet elegant interior with older and rarer wines to match.

On the menu: An elevated Cantonese menu brings dishes like slow-cooked pigeon with jasmine tea leaves ($198) to the table alongside smoky plum abalone ($198) served cold and deboned chicken wing with glutinous rice ($128). Tastefully accompanying  those dishes are exquisite, popular wines from France’s Burgundy region, inclusion selections from vineyards like Chateau de Meursault and Chateau de Marsannary.

Meet the chef: If you’re a fan of the Cantonese classics served in Wan Chai’s Fook Lam Moon restaurant then you’ll be pleased to know heading PIIN’s kitchen is their former Chef Ming.

Jeng: There are more than 100 wines by the glass and over 2,000 varieties by the bottle.

FYI: PIIN is just a short walk from the Mid-Levels escalator.
