Flat out flat white:  This Tong Chong Street hole-in-the-wall coffee shop is run by a ‘coupla Aussies doing their bit to add to coffee culture in Hong Kong. Owners Gary Wong and Ollie But understand the local coffee scene is growing so they do their best to ensure consistent quality and serve it with a side of friendly, laid-back service — the Australian way.

Look and feel: There are only a few seats here as it’s a hole-in-the-wall, but there are still a few decorations which pay homage to the owners’ backgrounds.

On the menu: Coffee choices range from ice drip through to cold brew. The boys also work with many of the popular independent food brands in town. Think: Coffee from Redback, bagels from Bagoes, Bread Element, Little Creatures pale ale and IPA, health food from FoodieEtcetera and Cookie Boys. They also stock some cool accessories like custom-made leather coffee cup holders and tags made in partnership with local leather crafter Hoyia.

Great for: Grabbing your morning Joe without the queue or even learning the basics with their private barista training.
