NOC Coffee Co. has added a new branch to its collection of minimalist coffee shops, and it is unlike any other. The brand-new store, located on the fourth floor of The Wai Mall in Tai Wai, boasts a whopping 3,000 square feet of space, including an outdoor seating area and a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. The innovative design incorporates elements of the coffee brewing process, creating an immersive and unparalleled coffee experience for customers.
Look & Feel: The store’s signature minimalist aesthetic is front and center, with every detail meticulously crafted to create a serene and comfortable environment for customers. The shopfront features eco-friendly allusion plates that mimic the bubbles of pour-over coffee bloom, while crystal blocks under the tables and coffee bar resemble ice. Six art installations behind the bar with layers of sand and a coffee bean box on top echo Tai Wai’s unique city and mountainous landscape. The side seating next to the window allows customers to indulge in coffee and food while enjoying the beautiful landscape with friends and family.
The centerpiece of the store is a 5.7-meter-wide mega vortex-shaped structure that represents a coffee dripper, with a sleek white pillar adorned with metallic rings that imitate the soothing and rhythmic circular movements of pouring hot water over the coffee. The crescent-shaped dining table encircling the “dripper” marks the perfect end of the coffee extraction process, immersing customers in the process of coffee brewing.
On the Menu: NOC’s menu has always been a crowd-pleaser, and the new branch at The Wai is no exception. Customers can indulge in a refreshing summer treat with the new store-exclusive “Iced Pandan Cocoffee” (HK$50). Crafted with coconut water, NOC’s classic nutty House Blend No.18 espresso, and pandan extract, this drink is topped with a rich layer of milk foam and pandan leaf. Not only is it Instagrammable, but it also has a refreshing taste and a rich mouthfeel.
Customers can enjoy the exclusive “Iced Pandan Cocoffee” with their choice of homemade pastry for HK$65. The pastry collection, freshly baked with ingredients from France and Japan, includes hot items such as the signature Egg Tart, Koyamaen Matcha Adzuki Scone, and fresh Fig Danish, making them the perfect pairing for a summer tea time with friends and family.
Great For: NOC The Wai is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a serene and comfortable environment to enjoy their coffee and brunch away from the city’s hustle and bustle. The breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape, combined with the store’s minimalist design and innovative incorporation of the coffee brewing process, creates an unparalleled coffee experience that is sure to please. The new branch is also great for those looking to snap some Instagram-worthy photos, with its beautifully designed interiors and exclusive drinks and pastries.
