Retro-Chic in SYP: Mr. S.Y. Punti is a sleek hybrid — something between a cha chaan teng, a bar and a coffeehouse —offering fusion dishes in a retro-chic setting.

Look & Feel: The austere, geometric furniture and tiled floors pay tribute to the cha chaan teng, while the state-of-the-art coffee machines and beer taps at the bar sing a slightly different tune.

On the Menu: The menu is supposed to change according to the seasons, but you can expect dishes like soups and salads, French toast, wonton dumplings, deep-fried wings and other snacks to go along with draught beers and artisanal coffees.

Great For: Hanging out in small groups.

FYI: Mr. S. Y. Punti’s coffee is supplied by Hong Kong’s oldest coffee roaster, Olympia Graeco-Egyptian Coffee.
