Nippon-Influenced Cocktails: Japanese-Italian restaurant Pazzi Isshokenmei introduces diners to MONA, its terrace bar that opened doors last month. Embracing the Japanese flavors, the bar serves cocktails injected with the unique taste of Nippon at the cozy terrace or intimate indoors of the guests’ choice.
Look & Feel: Making the most of H Queen’s prime location, MONA is a convenient destination to grab after-work drinks for office workers in Central. Enjoy your drinks on the terrace at MONA to feel the autumn breeze while overlooking the concrete jungle; the speakeasy indoor area will be just the right choice to relax as well.
On The Menu: Like most Hongkongers, MONA loves Japan so much it has to create drinks out of some of the country’s most symbolic tasting notes. Infusing yuzu into a concoction of tangy tea and Roku gin with a hint of chamomile and honey, Bee’s Kochi would be a refreshing drink you need after a long day. Shiso (or Perilla leaves) adds a unique flavor profile to Local Japan, a cocktail made with sugar cane juice and imperatae, an ingredient known for its soothing abilities. Mona Tomball is the bar’s take on the Japan-favorite whiskey highballs crowned with Fuji apple shrub, while Lisa Sour pays tribute to the classic whiskey sour by adding a dash of red wine to the drink.
MONA celebrates its opening with different offers. Visit the bar for half-priced bottled wines, sakes and champagne, and Perfume Trees Gin, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays respectively.
