An Apple A Day: A resounding hit in its native Tokyo, Mille Mele Tokyo might only do one thing, but it does it really, really well.

On the Menu: The bakery’s apple pies are created with slow-cooked Fuji apples, custard from Japan, and soy milk cream; a combo that’s seen queues regularly forming outside its three locations in Japan. The pies are baked fresh every hour and go for $36 each or $138 for four.
