A Taste of Marrakesh: The sights and sounds of Morocco are faithfully replicated on Wyndham Street’s Lilya Moroccan Lounge and Bar, yet another Dining Concepts creation.

Look & Feel: Be dazzled by tassels, mosaic tiles, patterned cushions and a strategic combination of colorful furniture with a Middle Eastern accent. The inspiration? The glorious riads of Marrakesh (or Marrakech if you’re feeling French).

On the Menu: Lilya brands itself as a bar first and foremost, and on the drinks menu are cocktails made from Moroccan spices and a hefty dose of liquor. Think cheeky names like the Oriental Fashion ($120) and the Ali Baba ($120, complete with smoking genie lamp). But you won’t go home on an empty stomach: Moroccan dishes like tagine and saddle of lamb round out the food menu.

Meet the Bartender / Chef: Younes Ateyah serves as chief mixologist, while chef Ahmed Boulalam is the boss in the kitchen.

Great For: Intimate evenings, small group parties.

FYI: The space seats 90, and there’s a cozy terrace for those who prefer a more private experience.
