Bespoke Boozing: Following a wildly successful first branch in Bangkok, New York mixologist extraordinaire Joseph Boroski has set up his eponymous cocktail space on our shores. J. Boroski is a collaboration with Bangkok nightlife guru Ashley Sutton, marking his second venture in Hong Kong, hot on the heels of Ophelia. It’s not your run-of-the-mill watering hole — here, a group of cocktail whizzes behind the bar will serve personalized creations based on your tastes. You won’t find menus or daily specials, and in fact, you won’t even find the address — the place is invitation-only. To get in, call (2603-6020), email or hit up Boroski on social media to request an invitation.

Look & Feel: Ashley Sutton’s midas touch means something unexpected at every turn. The space is taken up by a long bar, with eclectic elements like leather panels featuring scarab beetles — a nod to Joseph Boroski’s interest in science — as well as plenty of copper and steel.

Meet the Bartender: Joseph Boroski honed his craft at cocktail bars in the U.S. and served as consultant to top hotel brands before opening up his bar in Bangkok, while also running a cocktail school in the Thai capital. He’s planning on being in Hong Kong for some time to come, so be sure to drop by and say hi — if you can get in, that is.

On the Menu: A “cocktail concierge service” is the name of the game at J. Boroski. Choose from a variety of spirits, and the team will create your very own bespoke drink based on your likes and dislikes — surely a godsend for picky drinkers.

Great For: Appeasing foodies, impressing a date, racking up those Instagram likes.

FYI: Boroski and Sutton are gearing up to bring their legendary Bangkok hotspot Iron Fairies to Hong Kong, so watch this space.
