New Deli Spot in North Point for Casual Gatherings and Four-Legged Friends
Heading to North Point Harbour lately? Make a pitstop at Hap Coffee, a new café and deli serving up inviting vibes and hearty meals just right for kicking back with company, both two- and four-legged.
The cafe offers a picturesque al fresco dining area perfect for Instagram. Situated right on the waterfront, it connects to a relaxing open-air patio with sweeping views of Victoria Harbour’s iconic skyline. Guests can take in the magic of the sparkling skyscrapers from their table while enjoying family-style meals under the sky.
The outdoor space is also well-suited for private gatherings. Its charming landscaping rings with laughter as friends celebrate birthdays and holidays with food, drinks, and scenic waterside ambiance.
Café founder Johnny Liu envisioned these inviting hangouts with comfort and conviviality in mind. As an experienced interior designer, he has lent his talents to global brands like Agnes B, Uniqlo, and Adidas. Now, he’s sharing his passion through Hap Coffee’s vibrant yet tranquil design.
Johnny made the most of the waterfront location with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the interior with natural light. An open, airy feel keeps energy buzzing all day. Against the crisp white backdrop, a playful splash of blue grabs the eye – coffee cup illustrations by Johnny’s daughter Lena that also appear in the logo alongside a running figure. “However busy your day is, Hap’s coffee is your best companion on the road,” Johnny notes. His whimsical touches imbue the space with both creativity and comfort.
The diverse menu at Hap Coffee aims to please all palates with shareable plates and heartier options. Those craving indulgence can build gourmet burgers piled high with premium toppings or dig into bowls of pasta brimming with seasonal veggies and sauces. Flatbreads like margherita and pepperoni satisfy pizza lovers too.
For lighter fare, the salad selection changes daily based on what’s freshest. Think crunchy greens with proteins like grilled chicken or salmon alongside dressings like lemon tahini or sesame ginger. Sweet tooths will swoon over crepes stuffed with fruit compotes and yogurts or thick-cut toasts topped with Nutella, banana, and sprinkles.
No visit is complete without sampling the locally-roasted coffee or tea. A full espresso menu utilizes premium single-origin beans, while chilled bottled juices and sparkling waters refresh. After dark, the beers on tap satisfy with offerings from microbreweries around town. Those with sophisticated tastes can savor wine or classic cocktails too.
As a dog-friendly destination, Hap Coffee ensures all feel welcome – humans and canines alike. A water bowl outside and treats at the counter pay homage to our furry friends. It’s the perfect picnic spot for owners and pups craving fresh air and scenic strolls along the harbor.
Pop in solo for a working lunch or settle in for an evening with friends. Hap Coffee welcomes gatherings large and small with room to spread out indoors or outside under the harbor lights. Pet parents can bring their furry friends to mingle too – all are welcome here!
Those charmed by Hap Coffee’s ambiance can take a piece of the charm back home too. Artisan logo tees, tote bags, candles and mugs bearing customize illustrations lend personality to any space. Quality coffee beans, brewing supplies, and local goods give a taste to further adventures.
Whether solo escapes or socializing, Hap Coffee offers North Point a lively yet laidback destination for any occasion. Stop in soon to soak up the ambiance and sip something inspiring alongside scenic views of the harbor. This new spot is sure to become the neighborhood’s favorite meeting place.
