Family-Style: Acclaimed chef Mingoo Kang opens Hansik Goo, his first restaurant outside of his native Korea. The eatery is part of ZS Hospitality, the same group behind vegetarian Hong Kong restaurant Miss Lee.
Look & Feel: Located on Lyndhurst Terrace, Hansik Goo is classy yet understated — think plenty of neutrals and teals with rose gold accents.

On the Menu: Granting a modern take to traditional communal dining, Kang aims to showcase the diversity of authentic Korean cuisine at Hansik Goo. A curated eight-course tasting menu ($780) is available throughout the soft opening period, featuring Kang’s key dishes as well as key ingredients in Korean cuisine. In other words: dubu wanja (Korean meatballs), yukhoe (Korean steak tartare), and bulgogi. You can also add on up to five more dishes to the existing tasting menu. Kang will introduce a more extensive menu once he can make the trip down to Hong Kong to officially open the restaurant.
Meet the Chef: You might recognize chef Kang from his two-Michelin-starred Seoul restaurant Mingles, which currently ranks at number 13 on the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list.
FYI: For now, the restaurant is by reservation only, so don’t roll up expecting to be seated without booking in advance.
