Chengdu Special: Wan Chai is the home of Sichuanese chef Deng Huadong’s first overseas outpost. DENG G is a two-story space serving authentic Sichuan dishes from Chengdu alongside potent glasses of baijiu.

Look & Feel:  Bamboo motifs, minimalist wooden tables, copper shelves.

On the Menu: Food-side, signatures include crispy fish in mala sauce, sliced pork with chili garlic, or diced chicken with chili and cashews. Drinks-side, baijiu cocktails are the order of the day.

Meet the Chef: Chef Deng Huadong has worked in top-notch kitchens across China, and currently owns the popular 鄧記食園 (Deng Ji Shi Yuan), as well as another DENG G, in Shanghai

Great For: A casual night out, a stimulating meal.
