Not Just Desserts: COBO HOUSE specializes in all things sweet, and a ‘lil bit more. It’s the sister restaurant of popular 2am:dessertbar by chef Janice Wong in Singapore.
Look & Feel: This two-story establishment in Shek Tong Tsui is 3,000 square feet in size, and comes with marble top bars, dark wood wall panels, wiry black chandeliers and high ceilings to boot.
On the Menu: The sweets steal the show at COBO HOUSE, and you can get everything from a frozen and aerated “Chocolate H2O” ($120) to a molten Tsujirihei matcha tart ($108). There is also a separate lunch and dinner menu that COBO HOUSE will unleash to the world at a later date. Wines and cocktails make up the drinks menu, and bar snacks are available.
Meet the Chef: Singaporean Janice Wong was Asia’s Best Pastry Chef for the years 2013 and 2014, winning the accolades for 2am:dessertbar in her home city. She’s in charge of both the sweet and savory menu at COBO HOUSE.
Great For: Date night, an alternative to tong sui, a second meal after dinner.
FYI: COBO HOUSE boasts its own Okinawan sea sand garden of blooming herbs and small plants.
