French Fine Dine: From successful private kitchen ventures to a well-received Causeway Bay restaurant, chef Eddy Leung strikes again. Prepared with classic French cooking techniques, Chez Ed’s exquisite dishes are presented in a fine-dine setting.

Look & Feel: The Causeway Bay space boasts views of the Happy Valley racecourse. It’s an inviting space decked out with dimly lit chandeliers and colorful drapes, complete with big tables that hold large parties.

Meet the Chef: Eddy Leung was behind private kitchens Poison Ivy and more recently Chef Studio in Wong Chuk Hang, amassing a following for his meticulously prepared French dishes.

On the Menu: Although there are regular additions to the menu using seasonal ingredients, Chez Ed also has dishes familiar to fans of his old restaurants. Think 24-hour boiled pigeon and consommé with steamed foie gras. Lunch sets are priced at $280 for three courses and $380 for four, while a dinner tasting menu ($980) sees chef Eddy whip up the likes of lobster risotto and roasted Australian beef fillet.

Great For: Business lunches, spoiling your other half, special occasions.

FYI: Look out for chef Eddy himself during your visit — he’s known to greet diners around the restaurant.
