A Neighborhood Favorite: Hong Kong’s fave brunch spot CATCH has just opened another branch in another buzzing neighborhood – Sai Ying Pun. As you can imagine, it’s already become a popular joint among locals and nearby city dwellers around the area.
Look & Feel: Coinciding with the restaurant’s relaxed Australian vibe, CATCH is a family-friendly, one-stop brunch spot founded by Hong Kong hubby-wife duo Alex and Danielle Malouf. You’ll feel the upbeat vibes of casual crowds that swing by on sunny weekend afternoons.
On the Menu: The little Aussie brunch spot specializes in seafood, but its vegetarian and meat options are just as tasty. Those who are familiar with the menu of its Quarry Bay and K-town branches will be happy to know that it’s predominantly the same dishes here. One main difference is that it won’t have the crab linguine – instead they have their classic spicy crab pasta from Kennedy Town.
Expect everything from the best catches of the day, including the delicious oysters with mignonette granita (HK$228) to the refreshing halloumi salad (HK$148). Meat lovers can tuck into the indulgent melt-in-your-mouth sticky pork ribs (HK$138) for mains. Don’t forget to save room for dessert, we strongly recommend trying the fried berry cheesecake (HK$78). And of course, what’s a weekend without a glass of bubbly? There’s even a daily happy hour from 4:00pm to 8:00pm to get drinks flowing.
Great For: Brunch! It’s the perfect spot for weekend get-togethers.
FYI: CATCH also has restaurants in Taikoo Place and Kennedy Town. Plus, there’s Mama Malouf for modern Lebanese goodies.
