Tapas and Dancing: London’s stylish Barrafina tapas joint transplanted to Hong Kong early this year in the form of Cassio, a Spanish bar and restaurant at LKF Tower.
Look & Feel: Expect a sultry space with moody lighting. A sleek bar top comes into sight as you step in, while elsewhere more intimate tables line the space. Cassio also has an outdoor terrace decked out with lots of greenery, and further seating.
On the Menu: Classic Spanish fare like tortilla de patata, which comes in several varieties including the classic ($88) and a mediterranean variety with prawns ($88), plus an Iberico sobrassada with chorizo ($98). There are also staples like gazpacho ($78) and padron peppers ($88), but more show-stopping dishes include scallop ceviche ($188) and 12-hour slow-cooked suckling pig ($268).
Great For: Friday night dinner before a night out, or wine and tapas by the bar.
FYI: Cassio is curated by none other than Gilbert Yeung, the brains behind Dragon-i and Tazmania Ballroom — so you can expect a mix of dining, drinking and great music to boot.
