Indian Fusion: The team behind popular healthy Indian takeaway joint Masala Train in Wan Chai present their latest endeavor: Cardamon Street, a restaurant serving contemporary international fare inspired by Indian flavors.
Look & Feel: The space joins Soho’s wealth of trendy F&B offerings along buzzing Elgin Street in Soho.
On the Menu: If you’ve ever wanted to try burgers, tacos, sliders or other Western comfort food favorites with a distinctive Indian twist, now’s your chance. Cardamon Street serves up dishes such as chicken tikka sliders, lamb keema tacos, paneer croquettes, rasam ramen and lamb quinoa biryani. Expect heaping helpings of cumin, coriander, cardamom and other spices for plenty of bold and innovative flavors.
Meet the Chef: Banker-turned-chef Tina Sekharan focuses on homemade, healthy Indian dishes whipped up with authentic cooking techniques and granted a modern twist. She founded Masala Train in a bid to showcase the light, healthy side of Indian cuisine.
Great For: Quick, affordable lunches; fans of spice and creative flavors will want to pay a visit, too.
