NYC-style Italian: Black Sheep Restaurants group has imported NYC’s popular American-Italian number, Carbone, straight to the glossy LKF Tower.

Look & Feel: Dining at Carbone is like walking onto a glamorized set of “The Godfather”. We’re talking dark wood archways, bentwood chairs, checkered floors… the whole shebang. The music is jovial and loud, and there’s a bar at the front to whet your appetite before your big meal.

Carbone
Gangsta-chic looks

On the Menu: Expect to find all the American-Italian classics, like linguini vongole (clam pasta, $218), spaghetti carbonara ($198) and veal parmesan ($548). The menu is quite edited, and you’ll find about four to six options in each category of starters, pasta, seafood, meat and dessert.

Service: Animated waitstaff in crisp uniforms complete the theatrical, sometimes over-the-top experience.

Jeng: All of the food, like the dishes mentioned above, are hands-down delicious. The crumb-topped baked clams ($208) are another tasty highlight.

Not so Jeng: The ambient music and buzzing crowd can take your head for a spin by the time you’re ready for the bill.

Great For: Head here for a fun date, a rowdy group dinner, an important client meeting.

FYI: Carbone Hong Kong, with a few exceptions, stays true to the original NYC menu.
