Travel to Madrid’s de Los Austrias neighborhood: Pirata Group presents Calle Ocho — A convivial tapas restaurant & bar. It pays homage to Spain’s historic and picturesque neighborhood in Madrid. Calle Ocho embodies the spirit and vibrancy of Iberian culture through its charismatic exteriors. This makes it the picture-perfect backdrop for guests as they step in.

Look & Feel: Calle Ocho encompasses over 2500 square feet of space on Cleveland street in Causeway Bay. The two-story restaurant overlooks Victoria Park and Fashion Walk, giving it the perfect backdrop. As guests enter, they’re greeted by a captivating 25-foot mural hand drawn by the illustrious Elsa Jeandedieu Studio. The Spanish charm continues to flow through the restaurant with its tiling, paintings, traditional instruments & vintage 1960s fans. A Jamon Bar on the ground floor showcases premium Iberico ham that guests can watch carved for them in front of their eyes. The second floor is kitted out with vintage photos & iconic scenery from Spain, creating a space reminiscent of a mom & pop restaurant. You might just forget that you’re in Hong Kong once the sangria hits.

On the Menu: Calle Ocho offers the full Spanish experience with traditional tapas, bold in taste. Signatures include lighter finger food choices like Iberico ham, Mushrooms & Prawns, and the unique ‘Uni-cone’. Diners will also enjoy Iberico crispy pig ear with pickled green chilies and kimchi aioli, and a traditional Charcuterie. At Calle Ocho, every dish is designed to be shared, although solo diners will still find much to savor. Larger plates include the succulent roasted Spanish Suckling Pig ‘Boneless’ Terrine with pineapple salsa and vermouth jus and show-stopping Arroz Negro, a squid ink Paella topped with deep-fried spicy calamari and creamy aioli. Finish off your meal with an indulgent ‘Candela’ Manchego Cheesecake with passionfruit syrup.

All in all, the Calle Ocho menu is brimming with tempting treats, with Spanish wines and delightful
white/red sangria variants to accompany.
