Where Mexico Meets California: From the group behind much-loved Inn Side Out and comes Mexican-American restaurant Cadillac Bar & Grill. Taking up an expansive alfresco space at Hysan Place, Cadillac serves up California-Mexican fare, and promises to take diners “on a journey from Tijuana to Los Angeles.” 

Look & Feel: A space that spans 9,000 square feet — a rarity in the heart of Causeway Bay — Cadillac is a casual space furnished with wooden tables and seating. Half of the restaurant is located on a spacious terrace. The walls are decked out with murals from California and Mexico, and there are also digital projections depicting road trips — a nod to Cadillac’s theme. 

On the Menu: Expect Mexican favorites like tacos, enchiladas and carne asada, and American classics like BBQ ribs, burgers and USDA Prime steaks. Elsewhere, there are also Mexican-inspired dishes like beef tartare tacos, and sea urchin on pork chicharrón. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Mexican-American joint without margaritas and tequila cocktails. 

Great For: Big groups, weekend hangouts. 

FYI: The restaurant is staffed by the team from the long-standing restaurant Grappa’s Cellar, which the group ran for 25 years and was forced to shutter earlier this year.
